Cancellation & Refund Policy
This policy explains how to cancel a Travel Signals plan, how annual renewal works, and the statutory cooling-off rights that may apply to UK consumers.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
1. Summary
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to paid Travel Signals services, including Family 365 and Concierge 365.
It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in this policy removes or restricts rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
2. 14-day cooling-off period
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom and purchase a qualifying Travel Signals service online, you generally have the right to cancel the service contract within 14 calendar days without giving a reason.
For a service contract, the cancellation period generally begins when the contract is entered into.
To exercise this right, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel before the cancellation period expires. You do not have to use the model cancellation form on this page.
3. Starting Travel Signals immediately
Travel Signals is designed to begin monitoring as soon as possible rather than making you wait until the end of the cooling-off period.
Where you expressly ask us to begin the paid service during the 14-day cancellation period, we may begin providing monitoring, profile processing, watchlist services, Travel Signals and other plan features immediately.
4. Refunds when you cancel within the statutory period
If you validly exercise a statutory cancellation right within the 14-day period, we will calculate any refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.
If you did not ask us to begin supplying the service during the cancellation period, the payment will normally be refunded in full.
If you expressly asked us to begin supplying the service before the cancellation period ended, we may, where legally permitted, deduct or charge an amount that is proportionate to the service already provided up to the time you informed us of cancellation.
We will not impose a cancellation penalty for exercising a statutory cooling-off right.
5. Cancellation after the 14-day period
After any statutory cooling-off period has expired, a paid annual Travel Signals plan is normally non-refundable simply because you change your mind, stop using the service or no longer need travel monitoring.
You can still cancel an automatically renewing subscription at any time before the next renewal. Unless applicable law or a specific offer says otherwise, the cancellation will:
- stop the next automatic renewal;
- stop any future renewal charge;
- normally leave your paid access active until the end of the period already paid for.
This does not affect statutory remedies where the service is not supplied with the standard required by law.
6. Annual subscriptions and renewal
Where Family 365, Concierge 365 or another plan is sold as an automatically renewing annual subscription, it renews at the end of each annual billing period unless cancelled before the renewal is processed.
Cancelling the subscription is different from requesting a refund. A cancellation made after the statutory cooling-off period normally stops future renewal but does not automatically create a right to a refund for the current paid period.
If a renewal charge was taken in error after a valid cancellation made before renewal, contact us promptly so that we can investigate and correct it.
7. How to cancel
You can notify us that you want to cancel by emailing:
Email: hello@travelsignals.co.uk
Please use the email address associated with your Travel Signals purchase and tell us clearly that you want to cancel.
If we provide a subscription-management or cancellation facility in your account or through our payment provider, you may also use that method.
For a statutory cancellation within the cooling-off period, it is enough that you send a clear cancellation notice before the period expires.
8. If there is a problem with the service
The rules above about changing your mind are separate from your statutory rights if a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill or does not conform to the contract.
If you believe Travel Signals has not been provided correctly, contact us at hello@travelsignals.co.uk and explain the problem. We will assess the issue and any remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
9. How refunds are paid
Where a refund is due, we will normally return it using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method is agreed and legally permitted.
For a valid statutory cancellation of a service contract, refunds will be processed without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.
Banks and payment providers may take additional time to display a processed refund in your account.
10. Early User and other special offers
Promotional pricing, Early User pricing, founder pricing, price locks or other special offers may contain specific commercial conditions.
Those conditions do not remove statutory consumer cancellation or refund rights.
If a special offer states that a particular renewal price continues only while a subscription remains continuously active, cancelling the subscription may result in losing that special price for a later new subscription. Any such condition must be stated in the relevant offer.
11. AI-assisted content and automated processing
Travel Signals uses software automation and may use artificial intelligence (AI) to help analyse travel data, match opportunities to your profile, generate or assist with Travel Signal content and personalise the information we send to you.
AI-assisted and automated outputs are informational aids. They may be incomplete, inaccurate or affected by errors in third-party data, and are not a substitute for checking the final price, availability and booking conditions with the travel provider before making a decision.
The use of AI and automation does not affect your statutory cancellation or refund rights under this policy.
12. Model cancellation form
You may use the form below if you wish, but you do not have to use it. A clear email telling us that you are cancelling is sufficient.
